Best College Football Bets 11/11/2022 – ECU to Win 4 Straight?

  • Post category:Betting

We’re quickly approaching bowl season in college football, so every game matters even more right now. We have three games to discuss for tonight, 11/11/2022, although a majority of the action will take place tomorrow. Below you’ll find our three best college football bets for tonight, all backed by thorough research and data analysis.

Keep in mind that the odds for these picks are subject to change before the games start. As of right now, all games are projected to start at 7pm central time, so there’s plenty of time to get sorted out.

ECU +4.5 -110 DK

East Carolina University is heating up on the football field. They’re currently on a 3-game win streak and they’ve managed to keep most of their games close this year. Tonight, they’ll play Cincinnati in what looks like a great matchup on paper. Both teams have something to prove considering Cincinnati has won 31 straight games at home and ECU is 0-4 in their last four games against Cinci.

A lot of bettors are riding with Cincinnati tonight because the trends are in their favor. Despite this, Cincinnati has played a terribly weak schedule this season, and some of their wins have been questionable. Cinci is allowing teams to keep games close despite Vegas expecting blowout wins on several occasions.

ECU, on the other hand, is one of the hottest teams in college football right now. They’re coming off a huge win over BYU at their home field while also having wins over Memphis, UCF, and South Florida. It’s important to note that UCF beat Cincinnati and South Florida – a very bad team, came very close to doing so.

It’s important to note this line opened at 6 or 6.5 points on most books. Money is siding with ECU in what should be a close matchup tonight. Although Cinci is a great team at home, we’re backing ECU to cover the spread in this one.

ECU / Cinci o51.5 -110 DK

Usually, we like to stick to one pick per game, but a 51.5 total for two decent offenses is worth considering in college football. ECU and Cinci average 32.6 and 33.2 PPG respectively while each defense allows 23.2 and 21.0. Assuming this game plays to its absolute average, the total ends up being 54 points both ways.

Despite the total being slightly above 50, this game can easily turn into a shootout. Given the volatility of college football, either team could jump into a big lead early and require a faster pace from the opposing team. In this matchup, ECU is susceptible to the pass, while Cinci is susceptible to the run game.

Cincinnati tends to score a lot of points at home, and the trend will likely remain today. In addition to this, ECU is on a winning streak and wants to break their 4-game losing streak to Cincinnati tonight. Look for both offenses to exploit the weaknesses of the opposing defenses and maintain a fast-paced game.

Fresno St / UNLV u61 -110 DK

UNLV is the only home underdog on tonight’s three-game slate. Fresno St is the better team, so it makes sense for them to be underdogs, but the total here is high. UNLV is currently on a four-game losing streak, and if they want to win tonight, they know they have to limit Fresno State’s scoring.

This is the last chance for UNLV to make a statement at home. Their last home game is the final game of the season, and it comes against a Nevada team that’s one of the worst in the FBS. Knowing this, a win tonight is necessary to escape with a semi-successful season and possibly qualify for a bowl game.

UNLV will likely try to control the pace as much as possible with their bell-cow back Aidan Robbins. Robbins is finally healthy again, and he typically gets a heavy workload regardless of the matchup. Expect UNLV to treat this like their championship game and limit the recent successes of Fresno St’s offense.

Colorado 1H TT o6.5 -140 DK

USC is favored to beat Colorado by upwards of 30 points tonight. It wouldn’t be a surprise if this happened, but Colorado should at least score some points here. They’ve covered this number in a majority of games this year, including the past two weeks.

Generally speaking, one touchdown isn’t a lot to ask for in college football. In this case, the situation is even more promising because USC’s defense gives up a lot of points. Opposing offenses have covered this number against USC in every game so far this season, giving it a 100% hit rate. All things considered, Colorado is likely to score a touchdown in the first half.

You’ll have to deal with some juice on this pick, but it might be worth it depending on how you view the matchup. We see the odds as relatively appealing as long as the total remains under 7. As always, however, remember to do your own research and bet responsibly.

Final Thoughts

There’s a handful of good matchups, especially for a Friday night. All three games are expected to be relatively high scoring, which is a plus if you’re watching live. Remember to keep an eye on line movement and how odds change prior to these games starting.
